Ever since I was a kid this has been the best place for breakfast in town! Only reason I'm not rating a 5 is cause I wish they were open earlier like they used to be!

I've eaten at Bud's, as it is called by the yocals, many times over the years, and thru a few owners, and it is alright. needs a decor improvement, not so much for classiness, but uniformity. it would make the place awesome. the coffee is crap here but estherville water is a drag. and to the goofball above its the "belly buster", not the big buster. Hello?!?!?! the help is usually attractive as of recently, which is nice to see a pretty lady hand me my meal and be sweet. 3/5, food good, atmosphere needs an update, only con is that it is in e-ville! BOOM.

Good food, prices have gone up, not too bad, however. Last time I was in I noticed one of the regular servers no longer worked there, she was great. Stinks that they went back to cash only, I often forget to carry it around and have to use the ATM inside, which charges.Update: Service has gone down. ):

So I'm from out of town and I asked around to find out where a good place would be to eat and buds did not come to anyone's mind. But when I saw me and my buddy decided we wanted some diner food. Couple things that I find a bit annoying I got double-charged to ATM fees. And they do not take credit or debit cards you have to have cash. Which is fine it has that old school feel to it's kind of an inconvenience. The restaurant is kind of dated. And they use a broken down menu style so you're charge for your burger, your chips, then your drink instead of having like a burger combo. My buddy had a burger and it was cooked all right he said it just needed some salt it was kind of bland. I went with the special of the day which was like a hamburger casserole with tots and toast and I'm kind of with him on the flavor aspects it was a little little under other than that I'd give it another shot probably try something different to eat.

I travel a fair bit and this was one of my stops. It is the best place in Estherville for a good home cooked breakfast! Very friendly staff! I got my food quick and I have zero complaints! It was delicious! I took pics of the menu to assist others. This is one of those places I'll probably never see again but I'll always remember and recommend to those heading to Estherville.

Fun friendly fast service and the food was excellent. Especially the hot beef sandwich!!

The first experience was mixed. Busy little joint (good), but understaffed for the crowd caused a 1 hour wait for food. But the wait was made up for in quality of food delivered to the table. 1 cook and 1 waitress were moving and shaking...and the quality didn't suffer.

Omg I have never had such a great omelet in my life as I have here at Buds.Try the Philly cheese steak omelet you wont be dissapointed

Homey comfort food, Breakfast & lunch, closes at 2pm. I love their Panwich-choice of meat, style of egg, choice of cheese between 2 pancakes. Yum! Daily special was chix fried steak, mashed potatoes, fresh green beans.

Waitress was very polite , but my food sucked, bacon was burnt, and biscuits and gravy was yucky no taste....

Awesome place to eat! Breakfast and dinner are both equally amazing! The place is older but it gives a great feel like you're a friend when you go there
